We are proud to present a new feature to all visitors of mydyingbride.org: an RSS news feed.

The RSS news feed provides you with summaries of the latest news and updates regarding My Dying Bride. This allows you to easily stay informed. Mozilla Firefox users will be able to create a live bookmark for the MDB website. Of course, there are plenty of other RSS readers available.

According to the band, sadly Shaun Steels has decided to part from MDB. His continuing illness shows no sign of abating and he feels the uncertaintly could be having a negative affect on his relationship with the band members. His statement below:

I would just like to salute MDB for the good times and wish them all well in the future, I feel I am not ready to fulfill the duties in a manner befitting MDB at this time and have decided to stand down. I am sad to be leaving but at this time I feel it is for the greater good of the band. Tak! The Winter.

A Line of Deathless Kings is the title of the forthcoming My Dying Bride album, scheduled to be released on October 9, 2006.

Recorded in Academy Studios and mixed at Chapel Studios, the album will feature nine tracks:

You can get a taste of the new album a little earlier since Peaceville will be releasing a special edit of the track 'Deeper Down' as a single, to be released on September 18, 2006. The release contains not only the new track but also an additional exclusive track titled 'The Child of Eternity' and a live version of 'A Kiss to Remember'.

New tourdates are in.

MDB have been locked up in the studio and are busy recording their new album. According to the band, at least 5 songs have already been recorded with more in the pipeline. No details on song or album titles are available, yet. John, the drummer from The Prophecy, with whom the band have played live in the past year, is also behind the kit in the studio, filling in for regular MDB drummer Shaun Taylor-Steels (who is still having problems with his ankle after injuring it badly last year).

We have some additional tourdates in.

Aaron Stainthorpe is auctioning off his red (formerly white) stage outfit on E-bay, starting this sunday (closing on March 26). The proceeds of the auction will go to charity.

We have several confirmed tourdates in, for the 2006 summer, in several European countries, including Germany, Belgium, Norway and Slovenia. More details will follow as soon as we have them available.

It has been quiet around My Dying Bride for a while, but they are far from idle. The winter has been well spent writing material for a new album, and the studio has been booked for April. We'll get you more details as soon as possible.

In the meantime, we have some excellent new live photographs for you, courtesy of John Hanslip. These pictures were taken at the last concert by MDB at their home turf in Bradford.

The new My Dying Bride DVD 'Sinamorata' is now available. It contains a live registration of the concert played at the Hof ter Lo, Antwerp, in 2003, as well as an exclusive new video for 'The Blue Lotus', as well as other videos, and galleries containing fan art.

My Dying Bride and in particular Andrew would like to thank Roland and Masterplan, Brent and all of Mastodon for kindly bailing them out at the recent Bospop festival. After major equipment failures from Andrews gear, the gig looked in dire straits but thanks to kindness of the above we managed to get it done. Thanks guys and good luck.

Two tour dates in November in My Dying Bride's home country, are confirmed: November 18 they will play at the Astoria in London, and November 19 at Club Rio in Bradford. More as we get it.

Tourdates

A deluxe 3 CD box set, titled "Anti-Diluvian Chronicles", is in the making. The box set will feature 3 exclusive new mixes of The Wreckage Of My Flesh, My Wine In Silence and The Raven and The Rose, as well as a large poster and booklet (artwork by Lady Morgana) with an exclusive interview with singer Aaron Stainthorpe. Planned release is May 23 2005.

Screenshots from the video for 'The Blue Lotus' are now available for you to get a taste of what's to come. The video will be featured on the upcoming Sinamorata DVD, which, according to Peaceville, will be released early this summer.

According to Peaceville, the planned re-release of the "For Darkest Eyes" DVD on March 21 has been delayed.

The release of the upcoming new DVD "Sinamorata" is scheduled for early summer 2005.

The first confirmed tourdates for 2005 are in: My Dying Bride will play at Bospop in The Netherlands and at the Fury Fest in France. See the tourdates for details. More as we get it.

My Dying Bride's first DVD, "For Darkest Eyes", will be rereleased by Peaceville. The release will feature new artwork by Lady Morgana and will be available at mid-price. It will be available from March 21.

Coming up later this year is the second DVD by My Dying Bride, titled Sinamorata. The DVD will include many goodies, including a 12-song live gig filmed at Antwerp's Hof Ter Lo venue in late 2003, the promotional video for The Prize Of Beauty, plus a brand new promotional video for The Blue Lotus, directed and conceived by David Palser. Both tracks are taken from Songs of Darkness, Words Of Light. The DVD will also feature two videos conceived and made by MDB fans, My Hope The Destroyer and My Wine In Silence respectively.

This just in: Shaun Taylor-Steels has injured his ankle in a canoeing accident before Christmas. At first it was thought to be not very serious, but at the recent filming of The Blue Lotus video it turned out that the drumming has caused the injury to reappear. John from The Prophecy has agreed to stand in until Shaun has recovered. The band is now actively writing new stuff, rehearsing for and organising gigs.

Currently, MDB are busying themselves preparing for their next full length DVD release, planned for Spring 2005. They are working with David Palser again, to produce a new video clip exclusively for this release. The track is "The Blue Lotus" and it is going to be a stunning work. A great new photo shoot by Lady Morgana has also been completed, which shows the band like you have never seen them before. Expect to be amazed. The previously available DVD "For Darkest Eyes" has been repackaged and will be available at a special price from March. If that wasn't enough, we're also expecting the writing of a new studio album for 2006 release.

The submission cutoff date for the DVD art gallery has come and gone. The response has been overwhelming to say the least. A big thank you to everyone who contributed. Unfortunately we have not been able to thank everyone personally due to the sheer volume of entries, but know that your efforts are appreciated!

A lot of creative people have been inspired by My Dying Bride to create art. Statues, fashion designs, tattoos, paintings, car bumper stickers, you name it, it's out there.

The band wants to honor this 'fan art' by dedicating a photo gallery to it on the upcoming DVD. If you have photos of something you created, that you would like to have included on this DVD, then you can either send the photo(s) to me (webmaster@mydyingbride.org, subject: DVD gallery), or you can post them in this thread on the MDB forum. The band will select and include photos to appear on the DVD themselves.

According to Peaceville, the forthcoming DVD is scheduled for release in early 2005. The concert in Antwerpen has been shot, edited and mixed, and the band will use the summer concerts to shoot backstage footage to add to the package. Apart from the concert and the backstage extras, the DVD will contain the Prize of Beauty video, and possibly some extra surprises.

Also, Sea of Tranquility published an interesting interview with Aaron. Furthermore, there are several reviews of the new album available, at metalfanatix, at the Metal Observer and at Lollipop.

February 16, 2004 sees the release of My Dying Bride's 8th studio album, Songs of Darkness, Words of Light. The artwork was designed by Andy Green (who also designed the cover for Like Gods of the Sun), and the album was recorded and mixed with Mags, at Academy Studio in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire.

The first sound samples, for My Wine in Silence and The Prize of Beauty, are currently available through Peaceville Records.

For a very limited period, a special UK deluxe edition will be available for worldwide order directly from Snapper Online Store from February 16th.

The My Dying Bride website has undergone a metamorphosis again, as you can see. We hope you like the new look... Some of the sections are not yet back online, but we'll work hard to make sure all the content is back in place as soon as possible.
